☘️ Four dancers. One shared dream. 🇹🇼 🇮🇪

While there wasn’t an Aisling Award for teams at this year’s Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne, there are still stories worth celebrating. ✨

Meet the Scoil Rince Taiwan 4-Hand team! Like so many Irish dancers around the world, their journey began with a spark of inspiration. Whether it was watching Feet of Flames, being encouraged by family, or spending time in the dance studio before stepping into their first Irish dance class, they all found their way to Irish dance and never looked back. 💚

What brings them together is more than synchronized dancing. It’s Friday night practices, working toward the same goal, supporting one another before taking the stage, and sharing the confidence that comes from knowing your teammates are beside them every step of the way. 🤜🤛

For Scoil Rince Taiwan, this team represents far more than competition results. They represent resilience, trust, and the continued growth of Irish dancing in Taiwan. Seeing these dancers stand proudly on the World stage in Schaumburg was a source of immense pride for their school, their community, and for the continued growth of our global Irish dance family. 🌏

From Chile to the world stage, José Suazo has built his Irish dance journey through passion, resilience, and determination. 🇨🇱 🇮🇪

Having grown up in the school founded by his mother, the magnificent Sandra Claren, Irish dancing has always been part of his life. Today, he finds inspiration in the international Irish dance community, embracing every opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with dancers from around the world. 🌎

For his teacher, José’s greatest achievement wasn’t a title. It was overcoming a difficult moment at the 2019 World Championships and returning stronger than ever. His perseverance continues to inspire the next generation of dancers. 💪

Did you know?💡

Up until 1943, there were no structures or guidelines in place that recognised the necessary skills and ability of an Irish dancing teacher. CLRG created a formal examination scheme for new teachers and adjudicators to ensure the future of Irish dance! 🇮🇪

✨ The Aisling Stories ✨

From Ukraine, to Poland, to making Irish dance history. 🇺🇦 🇵🇱 🇮🇪

Max discovered Irish dancing after seeing it on TV in 2019. After relocating from Ukraine to Poland in 2022, Max’s determination, resilience, and love for Irish dance have fueled an extraordinary journey. Today, he proudly represents McGahan-Lees Poland 💛🖤 and has become the first Ukrainian dancer to earn an Aisling Award. This is an incredible milestone made even more remarkable by receiving the honour three years in a row (2024, 2025, and 2026). 💫

What Max loves most about our international community is the opportunity to travel, experience new places, and build friendships with dancers from around the world. 🌎

Congratulations, Max, on inspiring dancers everywhere with your perseverance, passion, and dedication! We can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next. ❤️‍🔥

There may not be an Aisling Award for teams, but there are still stories worth celebrating. ✨

This team from the Sandra Claren School of Irish Dance travelled thousands of kilometres from Santiago, Chile to compete at the World Championships in Schaumburg. USA. That journey alone is a testament to the passion, commitment, and dedication they have for our art form. It’s incredibly moving to see dancers from South America pursue Irish dance with such dedication, proving that the love of our tradition knows no borders. 💚

Congratulations to these dancers and their teacher, the exceptional Sandra Claren, for representing Chile and South America with such pride, heart, and determination. Your story is one that deserves to be celebrated, and we have no doubt it will inspire dancers from all corners of the world. 🌎 🇨🇱 🇮🇪

The Irish Traditional Music Archive / Taisce Cheol Dúchais Éireann, located at No. 73 Merrion Square in Dublin, Ireland, is home to the Cullinane Archive Collection.

The CAC is an extraordinary multimedia resource documenting the history of Irish dance. Donated by Dr John Cullinane to CLRG in 2021, it is now on deposit at the ITMA, where it will be preserved, catalogued and made accessible for future generations on behalf of CLRG. 📚

✨ The Aisling Stories ✨

From Port Elizabeth, South Africa, to the World stage 🇿🇦

After 11 years of ballet, jazz, modern, and tap, Megan Walker discovered Irish dancing in 2019. After attending her first South African Championships just six weeks later, she knew she’d found her passion. ❤️

Megan especially loves the friendships and inspiration that come from competing internationally and describes receiving the Aisling Award as one of the most humbling and unforgettable moments of her dance journey 🥹

Her advice to younger dancers:
“Dream big, work hard, and don’t compare yourself to others. Focus on becoming a better dancer than you were yesterday.” 💥

✨ The Aisling Stories ✨

From Dongguan, China to the World Championships in Chicago. 🇨🇳 🌍

Meet Liji Ye, a dancer whose Irish dance journey began with a few videos of footwork on boards. Curious to try something completely different, he took his first class at just 12 years old, and never looked back. ✨

In 2024, Liji joined to pursue competitive Irish dance, embracing a whole new chapter filled with hard work, friendship, and unforgettable experiences. 💫

Despite making a demanding six-hour round trip to Hong Kong for training three to four times each week, Liji’s dedication has been extraordinary. In his very first feis, he won his age group at the 2025 RCCEA Oireachtas in Prague before going on to represent himself at his first World Championships in Chicago in 2026, traveling there alone and competing with dancers who had spent years on the competitive stage. 💪

Liji’s journey is a reminder that passion, perseverance, and the support of a community can take you further than you ever imagined. As his teachers say, “It takes a village,” and the entire McGahan Lees family is proud to be part of his incredible story. 🥹
