🚨 ATTENTION IRISH DANCERS – your support is needed in an exciting new initiative!

The STEP UP for DANCE Campaign is an independent movement in Ireland representing dance across ALL genres with the objective of state recognition and funding. 💃✨

In addition, they are also looking for testimonials to include in their policy paper to the Irish government. These would be stories about how Irish dance has transformed your life through confidence, health, friendship, opportunity, or whatever it gave you. 💚

We encourage everyone to follow their official social media channels to help with engagement as this campaign progresses. Any testimonials can be sent directly to [email protected] for inclusion.

🚨 SURVEY OPPORTUNITY 🚨

University of Limerick’s Education & Health Science Faculty are conducting a new study on supporting neuroinclusivity in Irish dance education from the dancer and parent/guardian perspective. 🧑‍🧒

They want to hear from neurodivergent Irish dancers aged 10 or older (current or retired) as well the parents/guardians of current/former neurodivergent Irish dancers to enhance inclusivity within Irish dancing. 💭

This is an excellent opportunity to share your perspective/experience in classes, feiseanna or in other performance settings to help Irish dance grow. 💚

Surveys for both dancers and parents/guardians are linked in our bio! Please note that parental consent will be required for dancers under the age of 18 as well as protected adults.

On behalf of An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha, An tUachtarán Mary Duffy Pask pays tribute to Niamh Flatley, née O’Brien, and extends our deepest sympathies to Michael, Michael St James, the O’Brien and Flatley families, and all those who mourn her loss.

Niamh was an extraordinary ambassador and champion of Irish dance whose contribution to our art form leaves an enduring legacy.

Dancers based in Ireland are required to take the Scrúdú Beil Gaeilge with Grades 1 through 6. The prompts included above are used for the very first grade exam for both children and adults. 🍀

The CLRG YouTube channel also has helpful study videos, broken down by province of Ireland, for those dancers about to take the Scrúdú Beil Gaeilge for Grades 1-4. 📹

Of course, we encourage all of our dancers to start their Irish language journey, regardless of where they are in the world. This series is a great first step for those looking to incorporate the Irish language in their day to day lives. 🇮🇪

We’re looking to support initiatives that introduce new communities to Irish dancing, culture, music and language. 🇮🇪

Do you have an idea for a ceili workshop in your community? Or perhaps you want to organize a workshop on the Irish language or music? No idea is too big or too small! ✨

The deadlines for applications are as follows:

📅 Tranche 2: Saturday, 1 May 2027
