The Government is now launching its next Community Sports Facilities Fund. The last time this was available was in 2023 and only 12 clubs applied for a grant and took advantage of this opportunity.

The Department of Sport have placed a special emphasis on sports which did not use the grant to its full potential when it was last available – Badminton being one of them. Shuttles and equipment are hefty costs for clubs and we created a simple way to overcome those costs.

The event had to be rescheduled to today following the fuel protests a couple of weeks ago.

12 Teams :
9 Counties : Carlow, Dublin, Kilkenny , Meath , Laois, Offaly Kildare, Westmeath, Wexford

The Leinster Intercounty Competition is dedicated to the development and promotion of juvenile badminton across the counties. The Leinster Youth Activities Committee with the full support of the Leinster Executive will endeavor to keep this long standing event going, We hope the players will always remember with pride the day they represented their county in badminton in their respective county Colours.

A special thank you to Shanthini Chandra who ran the event today. To Leinster President ,David Murphy for presentations.
Without these volunteers giving of their time, these events wouldn’t happen.
