Leinster U15 Inter Counties 2026

Baldoyle Badminton Centre hosted the Leinster U15 Inter Counties 2026.
The event had to be rescheduled to today following the fuel protests a couple of weeks ago.

12 Teams :
9 Counties : Carlow, Dublin, Kilkenny , Meath , Laois, Offaly Kildare, Westmeath, Wexford

The Leinster Intercounty Competition is dedicated to the development and promotion of juvenile badminton across the counties. The Leinster Youth Activities Committee with the full support of the Leinster Executive will endeavor to keep this long standing event going, We hope the players will always remember with pride the day they represented their county in badminton in their respective county Colours.

A special thank you to Shanthini Chandra who ran the event today. To Leinster President ,David Murphy for presentations.
Without these volunteers giving of their time, these events wouldn’t happen.
To all the parents, managers and coaches , and the staff of both Leinster Badminton Centres .

Congratulations to the U15 National team for winning silver at the Quadrangular event last weekend.

Well done Madhu for winning Gold in GS in the individual event as well as Bronze in GD and XD.

Well done to Arshia and Likhithaa for winning silver in GD in the individual event.

And well done to Advik for winning bronze in XD with Madhu.

U13& U17 Leinster Victor Open 2026
On Saturday, The U13 event ran in tandem with U17s , in the Terenure Badminton Centre and Baldoyle Badminton Centre respectively with the Semi finals & Finals in Terenure on Sunday.

Thank you to all the athletes who supported the tournament.

- Both referees Veronica and David , and David then donned his Presidents Jacket for the presentations. David finishes his term as Leinster President in June. We are very grateful for all his time at the YACs events. We wish him well for his next adventure.

The team has beaten Nottinghamshire 7-3 to win Bronze.

Leinster were on the wrong side of a couple of really tight matches against Yorkshire in the afternoon and lost 6-4.

Later in the day, the team came up against Leicestershire who had only dropped 3 out of 50 games before reaching this last group. After a 5-5 draw, unfortunately, Leinster lost out by 2 sets.

Leinster will play for Bronze against Nottinghamshire tomorrow

Phenomenal team effort!
