Men, it’s time to give your oral health the attention it deserves.

Studies consistently show that men are more likely to neglect their oral health, increasing their risk of tooth decay, gum disease, and other dental problems.

Research conducted on behalf of the Dental Health Foundation (DHF) in March 2025 appears to support these findings, revealing that men are less likely than women to:
✔️ Visit the dentist at least once a year
✔️ Brush their teeth before bed
✔️ Floss or use interdental brushes daily
✔️ Be concerned about the impact of ageing on their oral health

Small daily habits can make a big difference. Regular dental visits, brushing twice a day, and cleaning between your teeth are key steps towards maintaining a healthy smile for life.

A healthy mouth does more than support your smile, it can boost confidence, enhance social interactions, and contribute to your overall sense of well-being.

Your oral health is often a reflection of your general health, acting as a “window” to the rest of the body. Signs such as mouth ulcers, lesions, or other changes in the mouth can sometimes indicate underlying health conditions.

Taking care of your oral health is an important part of looking after your overall health.
