Thank You – Clann Chaomhánach Gathering 2026

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our 2026 Clann Chaomhánach Gathering in Gorey.

While our numbers were smaller than at previous Gatherings, this created a wonderfully close-knit and friendly group. The camaraderie, conversations and shared experiences made the few days together particularly enjoyable, and I think everyone who attended embraced the programme immensely.

From exploring our history and heritage and visiting some remarkable historic sites, to the talks, traditional music, good food and, most importantly, good company, there were many memorable moments along the way.

A special thank you to those who travelled from overseas to join us. Your commitment to maintaining the connection with the Clann and with Ireland is greatly appreciated.

Thank you also to our speakers, musicians, guides and everyone who helped in any way to make the Gathering possible.

Ultimately, these Gatherings are about much more than names, dates and family trees. They are about people, friendships, shared heritage and keeping those connections alive across generations and across the world.

It was a pleasure to spend the few days with you all, and I hope you returned home with fond memories of Gorey and of the Clann Chaomhánach Gathering 2026.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir – and until we meet again.
