Today we proudly celebrated the Mental Health Ireland “Hello, How Are You?” initiative in Corkagh Grange, organised by Comhar and the Corkagh Grange Residents Association.

The “Hello, How Are You?” initiative highlights the power of simple human connection and encourages people to take a moment to check in with one another. A simple hello, a conversation over a cup of coffee, or asking someone how they are doing can have a meaningful impact on a person’s mental health and wellbeing. The initiative reminds us that small acts of kindness and connection can help reduce isolation, strengthen relationships, and create more supportive communities. Mental Health Ireland

Many people gathered together over coffee and donuts throughout the morning, conversations focused on the importance of mental health awareness and how building connections within our neighbourhoods can make a real difference.

We were delighted with the fantastic turnout and the opportunity to come together in such a positive and welcoming environment. The event demonstrated the importance of community development and the lasting impact that compassion, neighbourliness, and social connection continue to have across the Comhar communities.

🌿🏃‍♂️ The Power of Sports on the Green! 🏃‍♀️🌿

There’s something special about playing sports on the green — fresh air, open skies, and the feel of real grass beneath your feet. 🏞️.

We were delighted to have Teaching Tekkers back in Eustace Demesne and for the first time in Ravel Grange with over 25 young people playing in each estate for over 4 weeks.

A special thanks to Shane from Naas community guards, who presented the young people in Naas with medals for completing the six weeks of sport sessions and gave an important talk about respecting your community.

An initiative like no other !

A Huge thank you to Craddockstown Golf club for introducing the young people in our estate Eustace Demesne to their fantastic course. John,Paul and golf pro Glen provided an experience that many young people and adults wouldn't have the opportunity to try. It was a greatly enjoyable few weeks for us all.

They attempted to show our community development worker Nicola how to golf, but for everyone's health and safety,it was agreed to leave it to the young people.

Thank you also to the Community guards in Naas for their continued support.

*Scribblestown Rise*

We had an Easter Egg hunt in Scribblestown Rise last Thursday evening.

It was fantastic to see so many people coming out, the eggs didn't last too long before they were all found. Thank you again to our Easter bunny and his helpers who ensured that everyone had a lovely afternoon.

*Corkagh Grange Health day*

We were thrilled to have so many important services that are available to people in the area, on our doorstep in Corkagh Grange, Clondalkin last Thursday.

The main event was the Easter egg hunt, followed by the Easter Bunny who turned up in her fancy suit to Corkagh Grange. We also had Junior Einsteins who undertook a number of science experiments.

Thank you to the Irish Heart Foundation , MABS - The Money Advice and Budgeting Service , South Dublin County Partnership , Active South Dublin , Saoirse Domestic Violence Services , Jigsaw , & South Dublin Childcare Committee for giving up their time and attending our event.

* Churchwell Gardens*

Last Wednesday, while the rain poured down, the spirits were high in Churchwell Gardens.

The Easter bunny made a special visit and gave out an easter egg to everyone and even made a visit across to the shop across the road to say hello to everybody. Sarah and Liz were busy baking and shared some gorgeous cakes with all. Thank you to our Easter Bunny and her helpers.

Thank you to the residents association for making the day a success.

We had a special visitor out in Ravel Grange last Saturday 🐣🐰!

The Easter Bunny was busy in Ravel Grange hiding the eggs, for the children to find.

Well done to all involved in organising a fantastic day and ensuring that everyone received an Easter egg. It looks like it was a lot of fun!

Last week, we had the final week of Soccer skills in Churchwell Gardens.

The young people greatly enjoyed the six weeks of sports and games with the two Eoin's. They kindly donated a football to each person so that they can continue to play among themselves.

It wouldn't be the final week of soccer without a visit from Mr. Pinky's Ice-cream Van.
