In this interactive online session, we will explore:

✔️Awareness of meaning – understanding the story behind behaviour

✔️Firmness without blame – holding boundaries with compassion

Relationships are the foundation of learning.
When we shift from judgement to curiosity, we strengthen connection, reduce shame, and support growth — for adults and young people alike.

This free community webinar offers a practical taster of the G.R.E.A.T. SCREAM Programme and the mind-emotional nurturing approach.

Let’s celebrate adult learning and social emotional learning by strengthening how we relate to others and to ourselves. 💚

GREAT Courageous Goals for 2026 🌿

On 4th December, MINDEMN was proud to represent and advocate for youth well-being at the Community Education Network meeting, organised by AONTAS.
Surrounded by community educators, youth workers, and leaders, and guided by the Charter of Community Education, the message was clear: well-being is a shared responsibility.

At MINDEMN, we see ourselves as an early prevention and intervention organisation, grounded in mind-emotional nurturing. Our work focuses on equipping educators, youth practitioners, and community education professionals with the tools to support young people’s emotional development in everyday learning environments.

We believe young people can become self-scientists, learning to understand their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours when guided by informed, confident adults before distress becomes suffering.

It brings us back to a powerful question as we close the year:

“Nature loads the gun — but nurture pulls the trigger.”

So, as we look ahead to 2026, we’re setting a GREAT Courageous Goal:
✨ To support youth across Ireland by strengthening the adults, systems, and learning environments around them — through emotional education that empowers, not pathologises.

💭Open discussion:
❓How can communities, schools, families, youth organisations, policymakers, and government come together to:

1. Reduce unnecessary mental and emotional suffering
2. Nurture emotional awareness early
3. Help young people balance System 1 (automatic reactions) and System 2 (thoughtful responses) and embed Social & Emotional Learning as a foundation for life?

We believe the future lies not in fixing youth, but in nurturing the educational and community environments where they can thrive.

Thank you to everyone who walked alongside us in 2025.

Here’s to GREAT conversations, GREAT compassion, and GREAT collective action in 2026.

GREAT Reflections, GREAT Gratitude, GREAT Hopes for 2026 🌿✨

As 2025 comes to a close, we want to pause and say thank you.

Thank you to our educators, youth workers, community partners, supporters, and everyone who believes in emotional well-being in education.

This year reminded us why the GREAT SCREAM matters. When we Give compassionately, Relate non-judgmentally, Engage actively, Appreciate mindfully, and Teach self-acceptance, we create spaces where well-being and achievement can grow together.
At MINDEMN CLG, we are grateful for the conversations started, the connections made, and the collective action taken to support educators and empower youth.

As we look ahead to 2026, our hope is simple:
✨ more emotionally nurturing learning spaces
✨ more confident, resilient youth
✨ more supported educators and communities

Here’s to a GREAT 2026 —
Balancing Minds, Building Futures.
Warm seasonal wishes from all of us at MINDEMN CLG 💚

Dopamine Rush 🧠✨

After facilitating an 18-hour, 5-day online safety programme with secondary school youth, I can honestly say I enjoyed every single moment.

But the biggest dopamine rush didn’t come from finishing the programme, it came from one simple question:

“What’s dopamine?”

I boomeranged 🪃 the question back to the group. Silence. And then, my moment.

As I explained dopamine, I could see it click. The faces. The focus. The realisation that so much of what we chase, feeling better, avoiding discomfort, seeking rewards, escaping stress, is wired into how our brains develop, especially during adolescence.

That moment brought me back to why I wrote my wellbeing book for parents in 2021, “A DOSE A Day”, using the four key neurochemicals to support parents’ well-being while nurturing their children.

Now I’m wondering…
1. What if we taught this directly to young people?
2. What if youth became self-scientists — learning to understand their brains, emotions, motivation, and behaviours?
3. Could this reduce stress, anxiety, insecurity, and self-doubt — while supporting learning, confidence, and well-being?

I’d love to open this up for discussion:
❓How can we better empower youth with this knowledge to support both well-being and academic achievement?

Let’s talk 💬

Thank You from MINDEMN – AONTAS Summit 2025 & GSP Pilot Launch!

What an inspiring few days at the AONTAS Summit 2025 – Connecting Communities for Collective Action!

We’re so grateful to everyone who visited the MINDEMN stand and supported the launch of our GREAT SCREAM Programme (GSP) pilot. 💚
This week marked an incredible milestone: The official launch of our CBC in Education pilot, designed to empower educators and youth professionals with emotional coaching tools that balance well-being and learning.

Our participants said it best:
💬 “I feel empowered.”
💬 “Very informative and useful.”
💬 “The most valuable learning I’ve taken is compartmentalizing our thoughts and using a compassionate and supportive approach in helping young people to understand the same.”

Together, we’re proving that well-being and achievement can thrive side by side. One conversation, one educator, one youth at a time. 🌱
