Ireland will have two players – Nigel Peyton and Maureen Duke – involved in British Masters Open quarter-finals on Friday.

There were six Irish entries among the 248 players signed up for the 17-event tournament in Birmingham.

Peyton [3-4] will play his MO45 quarter-final on Friday at 5pm versus Julian Wollny of Germany [5-8].

Duke [5-8] will play her WO65 quarter-final versus Jill Campion [1] of Wales on Friday at 12:20pm.

Rob Staunton [5-8] lost his MO50 round two match on Thursday 2-3 (10-12, 11-5, 11-6, 9-11, 8-11) to Wayne Beglan [9-12] of England.

Jonathan Simpson [17-32] lost his MO55 round two match 0-3 (10-12, 3-11, 7-11) on Thursday to Peter Buchan [5-8] of Scotland.

MO65 Michael Roden [17-32] made a round one exit 0-3 (4-11, 6-11, 5-11) to Robert Warner [9-12] of England on Wednesday.

MO70 Robert Garvin [13-16] made his round one exit on Wednesday, losing 1-3 (11-9, 5-11, 6-11, 7-11) to Paul Reader [17-32] of England.
