🇮🇪 In4Squash had three gold medal winners at last weekend’s Brussels Gay Games.

2026 was the first time squash was included at the Belgian event, and Robert Gall (men’s B), Steven Kelly (men’s C) and Pedro Chinchurreta (men’s D) topped the podium in their respective events.

Next stop for IN4Squash is their own international Dublin tournament at Sutton on September 25th-26th.

Ireland’s Willie Hosey is just two wins away from winning a Masters World Championships title in Australia after reaching the semi-finals of the MO60.

Hosey was one of two Irish players in quarter-final action on Friday, winning his match 3-0.

Rosie Barry, however, exited the WO60 title race after losing in the last eight.

Ireland’s title hopes at the Masters World Championships in Australia have been reduced from four to two.

Rosie Barry and Willie Hosey have advanced to respective WO60 and MO65 quarter-finals to be played on Friday in Perth, with Maureen Duke [WO65] and Michael Conlon [MO70] losing out in their round of 16 matches.

WO60: 🇮🇪 Rosie Barrie [5/8] WON 3-0 (11-4, 12-10, 11-5) v Catherine Jackson [9/16] 🇿🇦

MO60: 🇮🇪 Willie Hosey [2] WON 3-0 (11-8, 11-5, 11-2) v Chip Robie [9/16] 🇺🇸

Eleven Irish players – including Ruby Carroll, pictured, the Irish junior player of the year – will play at this weekend’s 10-event, 154-player, three-day Welsh Junior Open in Cardiff.

Limerick player Carroll is seeded 3/4 in the GU15, where another Irish entry is Sutton’s Saibh Darcy. Celtic’s Caoimhe English is a 3/4 seed in the GU13.

Another Waterford player, Dylan Dunphy, is seeded 9/16 in the BU13, the event where Celtic’s Harry Knox is listed as No.1.

Sutton duo Nathan Hann [9/16] and Vinny Knaggs [17/32] are taking part in the BU19 along with Celtic’s Adam Power [9/16].

Another Sutton player, Samuel Hann [3/4], is in the BU17 draw, with Mount Pleasant’s Michael Lai named the No.1 seed for the BU15. His clubmate Leonid Ivlenkov is listed 9/16.

The draws have been published for this weekend’s 28-player, three-event, two-day PSA Satellite at Curragh Squash Club.

Sutton’s Christian Dromgoole, pictured representing Ireland in July at the Junior World Championships in Canada, will feature in the 16-player men’s PSA event as the No.13 seed.

He will start the straight knockout competition on Saturday with a match against Oliver Jones, the No.4 seed from Wales.

Scotland’s Andrew Glen is listed as the No.1 seed, with the Southgate-based Oisin Logan, the Sutton player who helped Ireland to their European Team Championships Division Two title win last May in Amsterdam, named the No.2.

The five-player women’s PSA section will be played on a round-robin basis with England’s Jasmine Thirst the No.1 seed and Mount Pleasant’s Sara Sabry the No.2.

Meanwhile, seven players are listed in the men’s B draw, with Carlow’s Neal Murphy the No.1 seed.
