🎭✨ A Sincere Thank You to Broadford Drama Group ✨🎭

Following their hugely successful run of John B. Keane’s Moll, Broadford Drama Group recently presented donations from the funds raised to three community groups: Broadford Hall Project, Scoil Mhuire Broadford, and Dromcollogher26.

We would like to sincerely thank Broadford Drama Group for their very generous donation and support. It is greatly appreciated and will assist us greatly as we continue our work towards the Centenary Commemoration of the 1926 Dromcollogher Cinema Disaster. 💛

🎄✨ A Sincere Thank You to Tony Noonan's Christmas Lights ✨🎄

Members of the Dromcollogher26 Group were delighted to meet with Tony Noonan following another hugely successful year of Noonan’s Christmas Lights.

Each year, Tony and his family put an incredible amount of work into creating this wonderful community event, raising vital funds for a number of deserving charities and organisations, including:
💛 Slí Eile, Churchtown
💛 Limerick Su***de Watch
💛 Milford Hospice
💛 Recovery Haven, Tralee

As Tony is originally from Dromcollogher, we were especially honoured that Dromcollogher26 was also included among the beneficiaries during our special centenary year.

We would like to sincerely thank Tony and his family for their kindness, generosity and continued community spirit. Their support is truly appreciated. 💛

Steering group for 100th anniversary of the disastrous fire that claimed the lives of 48 people in Dromcollogher 1926 took place today in the local hall.

I will be bringing proposals shortly on the National Commemoration of the tragedy, which will be led by our Department.

🌿✨ Memorial Walk Progress Update ✨🌿

Great progress is being made on our Memorial Walk, with works well underway and the pathway now really beginning to take shape.

We are also continuing our preparations, with members of the Dromcollogher26 Group recently reviewing samples of the plaques that will be placed beneath each of the 48 trees, honouring each of the victims of the 1926 Cinema Disaster.

It’s wonderful to see this important and meaningful project coming together.
