Glad to be back at Foróige this week after the Easter holidays! Great to have a good catch-up with everyone and make the most of the brighter evenings with some sports and team games outside 🙌

Aston Village Foróige Club meets on Fridays at Aston Village ETNS from 7pm to 8:30pm and is open to young people between 1st and 6th year of secondary school.

🍀💚 St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2026 💚🍀

What a brilliant day at the Drogheda St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

Our members had a fantastic time walking in the parade, proudly representing Aston Village Foróige Club with their banners, energy, and community spirit. It was great to see so many smiling faces and to be part of such a special day in the town.

We’re so proud of our young people for getting involved and showing their sense of friendship, fun, and community! 💚🎉

🍀 We’re taking part in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade! 🍀

Aston Village Foróige Club is excited to be walking in this year’s Drogheda St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17th!

Our members are looking forward to representing the club, celebrating the community, and showing a little bit of the great spirit of Foróige along the parade route.

If you’re heading into town for the parade, keep an eye out for our group and give the young people a wave as we pass by. We’re proud to see them representing the club and their community.

💛🗳️ Regional Conference 2026 🗳️💛

Today, four of our members and two of our volunteer leaders are representing Aston Village Foróige Club at the Foróige Regional Conference.

It’s a brilliant opportunity for young people to see how Foróige works at a regional level, learn about leadership and youth governance, and hear from members putting themselves forward for the Reference Panel.

We’re so proud of our members for getting involved and taking part in something that gives young people a real voice 💬💙

Foróige wants to hear directly from young people, and this is your chance to share what you think. The Have Your Say survey helps Foróige understand how young people feel about their time in the organisation — from the skills you’re developing, to your involvement in your club.

The survey also asks about issues that matter to you, including things like voting age, social media, and other topics that affect young people today.

💙 Cheque Presentation to SOSAD 💚

Today, our volunteer leaders Niamh and Cameron had the pleasure of visiting SOSAD Ireland on behalf of Aston Village Foróige Club to present the cheque from our Christmas Raffle.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members, families, local businesses and wider community, we were proud to hand over €715, raised through the hard work and commitment of our young people.

We’re so grateful to SOSAD for the vital work they do, and we’re extremely proud of our members for choosing such an important cause to support in their fundraising efforts.

Thank you again to everyone who bought a ticket, donated a prize, or supported the raffle in any way. This achievement truly belongs to the whole community 💙💚

✨💛 Wrapping up for the Holidays 💛✨

Thanks everyone for joining us for our last club night before the Christmas holidays — festive jumpers, a chill atmosphere, and a takeaway shared together after a busy few weeks.

A massive thank-you to one of our raffle winners who very kindly re-donated their takeaway voucher back to the club, so we could treat everyone to a special end-of-term night. Such a thoughtful thing to do and so appreciated! ❤️

Aston Village Foróige is still accepting new members in 2026! Register online or pop into us at 7pm on any Friday night after the 9th of January, when we'll re-open after the Christmas break. Applications welcome for anyone in secondary school (18th birthday not on or before 1st Sep 2025).
