What a fantastic climb with the local parish community last Sunday for the Feast of the Assumption of our blessed Virgin Mary —over 50 people joined in! It's wonderful to see such a dedicated and vibrant community at Fahan Parish Church.

Perhaps our prayers atop Scalp Hill have been, and will continue to be, heard.
One thing is certain: at some point, we were all united in prayer for the same intention.

Hi Everyone.

Michael here, had a productive and reflective meeting with Father Bradley and I have voiced our concerns in regards to our effort for the vigil mass.

Father Bradley and I have discussed the growing issues that face the greater parish community as a whole, due to the lack of Priests in the area.

Multiple positive solutions were given to Father Bradley which he welcomed.

He equally expressed his desire for continued negotiations and dialogue with the committee concerning this matter, which is important to us.

We will continue to communicate our interests and desire to bring back the vigil Mass in Fahan.

Father Bradley has assured me, that there will be no other mass schedule changes coming to the Parish Fahan Chapel in perpetuity under his tenure.

We will look to schedule another meeting in the near future with Father Bradley.

What can I say, amazing job everyone!

We have collected our petitions and want to say we have over 500+ signatures from everyone in the local parish community.

So what now? Well that’s up to the Parish officials. We will be opening lines of communication and have multiple ideas to present to him and them which we all think would work in everyone’s favour.

We will now be looking to opening a line of communication with the parties involved.

What cannot be ignored, is this is the voice of our local faith… 500 people have taken the time to sign and speak to us and we want to urge the decision making parties to listen to our voices.

Please come to the table and hear our point of contact out.

Wow… 🤩 I won’t go into too much detail right now, but our petitions are filling up to the point we had to print more batches!

The stories we heard from everyone on the doors, in the shops and even by people commenting and calling our team is unbelievably amazing and inspiring. 💒

I want to thank you so much for all your support so far and we will still be collecting signatures Thursday and Friday so don’t worry we are heading your way! Hi everyone! Welcome to our page for our local parish community, coming together to address the changes currently found in our Local Parish Chapel.

Recently it was announced that the parish chapel would loose its Saturday mass and the church in Burt would remain, the reasoning given was the ‘lack of priests.’

We believe that is not only a safety hazard for our parish’s young people and elders, due to the speed limits linked to the main road as well as the lack of parking in Burt. While Fahan has a safer speed limits and more parking.

We aim to create a community of like minds in the parish to support our efforts to keep our local Vigil Saturday Mass.

We will be going around the local community over this week and ask you kindly to support our efforts by signing the petition and giving us your time to hear our efforts as we will take you through the steps to show we are committed to our efforts.
