The Curragh Racecourse is inviting expressions of interest from riders to take part on Saturday, 29th August.

Kindly sponsored by , this unique race gives you the chance to ride over the world-famous Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby course in memory of a loved one, or in support of someone living with cancer 💛

🚴‍♂️ Alongside the Curragh to Curragh charity cycle, this incredible day has already raised over €1.2 million for Cancer Trials Ireland.

The remarkable legacy of Pat Smullen continues to inspire hope and progress in the fight against cancer. The 2025 Pat Smullen Race Day and the Curragh to Curragh Charity Cycle have raised an outstanding €351,631 for Cancer Trials Ireland , bringing the total funds generated since the initiative began in 2022 to over €1.2 million!

This exceptional support has been instrumental in advancing life-saving cancer research and treatment development through Cancer Trials Ireland.

Huge congratulations to Olivia for winning the Pat Smullen Charity Race at the The Curragh Racecourse and raising a MASSIVE €36,000 for Cancer Trials Ireland (it’s not too late to donate!), a very special day for her getting to win in her Mam’s colours who she lost to cancer two years ago💛🖤

Meet The Riders 2025 - Cian Fenelon

Riding out at home in preparation, Cian is from County Wicklow and is riding in memory of his Grandmother who passed away from cancer. Cian remarks how losing his Grandmother to cancer and witnessing loved ones battle it has opened his eyes to how devastating the disease is.
