Carrigaline & District Lions Club were delighted and very grateful to team at Camden Fort Meagher for providing District Governor Marian McGreevy, her husband Frank, Club President Anita Curtin and Vice President Robert McGarry with a wonderful tour of the stunning Fort Camden following the start of this year’s Fort 2 Fort Charity Cycle 2026 on Saturday. 🦁

A special thank you once again to the entire Camden Fort team for their warm welcome, hospitality and continued support. It is greatly appreciated by all of us at Carrigaline & District Lions Club.

We look forward to welcoming DG Marian McGreevy to Carrigaline in a few weeks of our club handover.

It is with deep sadness that we have learned of the death of Michael Ahern founder of Crosshaven YouthClub. His trojan work in the development of the present YouthClub building will forever be remembered. To his family and friends we offer our deepest sympathy may Michael RIP

Yesterday we travelled up to Mayfield Garda Station, for a vip visit from Neptune basketball inclusion team.

We gave them a water safety talk and a run through all our gear and answered any questions they had for us.

We were joined by An Garda Síochána Armed support unit and An Garda Síochána Dog unit.

We’d like to thank Garda Sharon for the invite to meet the lads.
