Young girls and boys from around the County entertained the audience at the County finals of the Talent competitions held in Bree Hall on Sunday afternoon last. They sang, danced, and between them all played a variety of musical instruments. Well done everyone.

Athletes from the Oylegate/Glenbrien/Ballymurn/Crossabeg Area were joined by youngsters from the Glynn/Barntown Area to compete in the Athletic finals on Friday evening of last week at the local Athletic pitch at Garrywilliam. Well done to all who competed and good luck to them in the County Finals next month. Thanks also to all who helped out in any way for the smooth running of the programme of events.

The U11 Chess team from Glynn/Barntown, winners of the silver medals at the recent Leinster finals in Longford. Not to be outdone, their U16 Chess team also came home with silver medals. Great results from both teams.

News just coming through that the Glynn/Barntown U11 and U16 Chess teams are returning from Longford with silver medals. Huge congratulations to teams and Mentors.

Here we have two County swimming medallists from the Horeswood Area and also their U11 Mixed Basketball team who represented Wexford in the first Round of the Leinster Games. The boys put up a brave performance but it is the Carlow team who will proceed to the Leinster semi-finals.
