🎉 Celebrating Our Local Community! 🎉Following our recent production, the Glanmire Players Drama Group was absolutely delighted to hand over a cheque for €435 to the Glanmire Men's Shed✨
These funds were raised through the raffle held during our recent show nights. We want to extend a massive thank you to all the local businesses and individuals who generously donated prizes, as well as everyone who bought a ticket to support the cause. 👏
🛠️ The Glanmire Men's Shed is a vital part of our local area, doing fantastic work including their important collaboration with Foróige. Members of our team were thrilled to meet up with Tim, Martin, and Robert to present the funds and chat about their ongoing community initiatives.
This presentation marks the second of three local groups we are supporting through this production's fundraising efforts. Keep an eye on our page for details on the third group, which we will be sharing very soon! Stay tuned!

🎭 Keeping the Community Spirit Alive! 🎭
We are delighted to announce that the Glanmire Players Drama Group recently handed over a cheque for €435 to the incredible team at the Glanmire Community First Responders
This fantastic amount was raised during our raffle on one of the nights of our recent performance.
The Glanmire Community First Responders are one of three amazing community groups we chose to support this year, and we are so proud to give back to the volunteers who do so much to keep us all safe.
This raffle wouldn't have been possible without the incredible generosity of our local businesses and individuals who donated such fantastic prizes. We are deeply grateful for your continuous support of local drama and community causes.

🎭 GLANMIRE LOCALS: JOIN THE GLANMIRE PLAYERS! 🎭
After the incredible success of our very first production, we are officially buzzing and ready to do it all over again. We are now opening up membership for our next season, and we want our Glanmire neighbours to join our theatre family!
We are a collaborative team, and we are looking for members who are excited to get stuck into all aspects of local theatre.
We need support across the board, including:
✨ Front of Stage: Bringing characters to life and engaging our audience.
🛠️ Backstage & Production: Managing the magic behind the curtain and building the world of the play.
A Community Effort:
We are a "hands-on" group! While you might have a primary interest, our members are expected to participate in all areas of the production, from helping with Front of House on show nights to assisting with the behind the scenes prep that makes our performances possible.
The Details:
📅 Weekly Meetings: All members must be available to attend group meetings on Wednesday nights.
🎭 Performance Commitment: Please note in the weeks leading up to a show, availability for Rehearsals 3 nights a week will be required, especially for Cast members and Backstage Production, to ensure everything (on and off stage) is ready for opening night.

That’s a wrap! 🎭✨
What an incredible run for the Glanmire Players' very first production! Putting on "It's the Real McCoy" has been an absolute joy and so much fun from start to finish.
We are overwhelmed by the support we’ve received over the last three nights. A massive thank you to the local community, our brilliant local businesses, and our wonderful friends and family who turned out in force to cheer us on.
A special shout-out to Riverstown National School for letting us use their amazing stage, we couldn’t have done it without such a fantastic space to call home for the week! 🏫✨
Thank you also to the seasoned members of other local drama groups and those who have performed this play before. Your words of encouragement, expert advice, and warm welcome into the theatre community meant the world to us as we found our feet. 👏
To everyone who gave us a standing ovation or shared a kind word, Thank You. You made this experience unforgettable! We truly hope this isn't the last you see of us. This is just the beginning of something great, and we can’t wait to bring more stories to the stage in the future. Watch this space! 🌟
And finally, while the drama on stage was great, the cast and crew are now retiring to the wings for a well-deserved rest. If you need us, we’ll be horizontal until further notice …turns out, being this "real" is exhausting! 😴🎬
