Cork City Missing Persons Search & Recovery is a voluntary organisation based in Cork City. We conduct land and water based missing persons searches. Our Services are free of charge and we will respond to call outs from Gardaí, family members of missing persons, web master of www.missing.ie and the National Missing Persons helpline Ireland 1890-442552. Our group consists of members who are trained in search & recovery and we have been assisting Gardaí and families of missing persons for the past 20 years. We are also aligned to the National Missing Persons Helpline Ireland. To request our services to search for any missing person, the missing person must first be reported missing to the Gardaí before we can conduct any search. There are no paid members in our group and we are not government funded,we rely on donations from the public through fund raising events that the public and ourselves organise. Missing Person Appeal – James "Paddy" Kildea, 62 Years, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, 20th October 2026

Gardaí are appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 62-year-old James "Paddy" Kildea, who has been missing from Letterkenny, Co. Donegal since Tuesday 20th October 2026.

James is described as approximately 5 feet 1 inches tall, with grey hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and navy runners.

Both Gardaí and James’s family are concerned for his welfare.

Renewed Missing Person Appeal - Stephen Sheeran Phelan (25), Rathdowney, Co. Laois, 8th October 2026

Gardaí have renewed their appeal seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 25-year-old Stephen Sheeran Phelan, who is reported missing from his home in Rathdowney, Co. Laois, since Thursday 8th October 2026.

In particular they are appealing to landowners and farmers in the area to check their land and outhouses. Stephen was last seen on Thursday, 1st October 2026.

He is described as being approximately 5 foot 11 inches in height, with long brown hair and blue eyes. Stephen is believed to be wearing either construction attire or a full tracksuit.

Gardaí are appealing for the public’s assistance in locating Shirwan Mohamed , 16 Years, who is reported missing from his home in Mallow, Co. Cork, on Friday 16th October 2026.

Shirwan is described as being approximately 5 foot 8 inches in height, with a slim build, black hair and brown eyes.

Gardaí and his family are concerned for his wellbeing.

Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 58-year-old Mingzu Tu, who was last seen on Wednesday 7th October 2026 in Tallaght Village, Dublin 24.

Mingzu is described as being approximately 5 foot 2 inches in height, with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.

Gardaí are appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 40-year-old Stuart McGrath, who is reported missing from his home in Carrickmines, Dublin 18, since Tuesday 6th October 2026.

Stuart was last seen on Monday 5th October 2026 at approximately 10.00am.

Stuart is described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a stocky build, brown hair and green eyes.

He was last seen wearing a dark tracksuit top, black bottoms and white runners.

Recently 4 members of CMP/river Lee CFR were recognised by the NAS for their work that contributed to saving our friend and fellow volunteer Dinnie Kiely when he had a cardiac arrest and a brain aneurysm while on a search on the river Lee.
We had been training under the watchful eyes of advanced Paramedic Donal Lonergan and Jim o Brien and Sean Byrne who are all involved in their community first responder training.
When Dinnie had his incident the top class training we received was immediately put to very effective use and 4 volunteers worked tirelessly to revive Dinnie with compressions and breaths until the ambulance arrived.Dinnie had just started to breathe on his own as the NAS arrived and paramedic Laura and the rapid response vehicle pulled up on the river bank where they continued their work to preserve Dinnies life and the Emergency Department Doctor who was present when Dinnie was admitted was also commended for his actions in saving Dinnie.
Volunteers David Varian,Derry Falvey,Christy o Donovan and Graham Wheatley were all presented with a letter of commendation and presented with a ROSC pin which is only ever given once where someone survives a Cardiac arrest and recovers to the point that they can leave the hospital unaided.Paramedic Laura and the ED doctor were also presented with ROSC pins by Ger O Dea Clinical director national and Co Ordinator for all the CFR groups and by Kieran Minihane clinical directorate/community engagement team a large crowd was in attendance we are truly blessed to have been able to help save our friend and colleague Dinnie but it took a lot of people too many to name to get Dinnie back to us and his family.
We also received a letter of commendation presented to Chairperson David Shine for the work we do to help the community and the work we do for the families of the missing.
We are all so proud to be recognised by our peers but what’s most important is the Dinnie is back where he belongs among his friends and colleagues at Cork City missing persons search and recovery.

Gardaí are appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 61-year-old James Kildea, who has been missing from Letterkenny, Co. Donegal since Tuesday, 29 September 2026.

James is described as approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, with grey hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a blue and white striped jumper, light blue jeans and trainers.
Both Gardaí and James’s family are concerned for his welfare.
