Successful Ageing Thurles We organise events in Thurles for, though not confined to, Positive Ageing Week. A social inclusion strategy for Thurles was carried out in 2009.

Membership includes representatives from many different organisations in Thurles. One of the key issues that arose is the level of participation in our society by older people. It was decided to form an Older Persons Working Group, made up of representatives from organisations and agencies with a remit in the provision of services to older people.
