It is with great sadness that we share the unexpected passing of one of our long-term homeless community members, Stephen O’Driscoll.

Stephen was known to many of us at Street Angels, and his loss will be deeply felt.

We will be holding a vigil in his memory on Monday night at 7pm at the Hub in Karls Quay. All are welcome to come, pay their respects, and stand with us as we remember Stephen.

Please keep Stephen in your thoughts, and respect his friends and loved ones at this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Stephen. πŸ•―οΈ

A true angel – please support him

Evening everyone. I just want to give a huge shout-out to my volunteer.

Twelve weeks ago, I broke both my hands. All I could think was: how am I going to do my Soup Run every week?
I spoke on the radio, and got so many replies.

One man stepped up. He drove me from Mallow up to Cork, stayed with me, and brought my staff and me home every week for ten weeks.

He's a qualified electrician – and he's amazing.

If you're ever in trouble, please give him a ring. He is a true angel and such a good volunteer.

Name: Tim Scanlon
Phone: 0894697210.

Please support him if you can.

Morning all – Hazel from Street Angels here.

Yesterday was extremely busy as we got everything ready for our run for all our homeless friends, and I have a few thank-yous along the way.

I would sincerely like to thank Kilcully Scouts for boxes and boxes of 12-inch steak burgers, boxes and boxes of sausages, loads of salads, loads of sauces, and desserts) that was left over after their weekend event. We also got burger buns and sausage buns. Thank you so much.

Then the task was to find somebody to cook them all – because we had about 140 of each to cook.

So my friends at O'Flynn's Gourmet Sausage (across from the gates of UCC) – staff members Stofra Kennedy, Izzie, Peters, and the team – and a massive thanks to Declan O'Flynn, the owner. He has always been very supported to Street Angels, and we were blown away with their help a million thanks

Amazing & blessed outreach run last night!

We got fresh doughnuts, scones, breads, coleslaw, pasta salads. We got battered sausages and potato pies from Murphy's chipper. We got a load of sandwiches from the railway station. Boxes of salad rolls cakes non perisable and boxes of clothes from Fitzpatrick's in Glauthane. We also got slabs of cork from Baker Street, plus big homemade cookies. And we were blessed with drinks! Our volunteers brought in even more.

The whole night went brilliantly.

Today we have the Street Angels Volunteer Expo!

If you're interested in volunteering with Street Angels, come along down to North Main Street. Starting at 12 o'clock.

You'll be glad you did.
