Cootehill Youth Citizenship Project Cootehill Youth Citizenship Project has been established by Foróige in partnership with CMETB under Cavan County Councils Peaceplus Funding.

Youth Service open to young people aged 10-24 years in the Cootehill area. Cootehill Youth Citizenship Project aims to support young people aged 10-24 years in the Cootehill area. The programs delivered will encourage teamwork and collaboration, bringing young people from diverse backgrounds together. Their engagement and interaction will foster mutual understanding and respect, breaking down barr

iers of prejudice and discrimination making sure their voices are heard leading to a more inclusive community. We will encourage young people to become active agents engaging constructively in civic activities, participate in
community events, and advocate for positive change, strengthening their social fabric and build trust among its members. This increased engagement will not only strengthen social ties but will also builds a collective identity that will lead to more peaceful interactions among the community.

Cavan County Council is proud to show our support and promote Cavan’s first Pride March taking place this Saturday, 13th June. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

The march will assemble outside Cavan Courthouse at 12:30pm, beginning at 1pm and lasting approximately 40 minutes with, followed by music, refreshments and community stalls in Market Square.

We encourage members of the community to come along and show support for inclusion, diversity and equality in Cavan! 🌈

Cootehill Youth Citizenship Project alongside Cavan Sports Partnership are hosting Badminton sessions over two days in July! 🥳

Dates: 01st & 08th July
Location: Saint Aidan's Comprehensive - Scoil Chuimsiteach Aodáin Naofa
Times: 12pm - 1pm for 13-15 year olds & 1pm - 2pm for 16-18 year olds!
**WEDNESDAYS NOT TUESDAYS**

You can register to attend both days or just one day - just let us know! 👌🏸
