The children enjoyed a Circus Skills workshop today, which was organised by Ms McEvoy and our Students Council using funds which were raised at our recent Bake Sale 👏🏻 The children loved learning new tricks…..hopefully there wasn’t too many practising spinning plates at home this evening😅

Ms McEvoy’s Junior & Senior Infants headed away on their school tour to Castleview Open Farm They had a great day, they got to feed lots of animals including donkeys, goats, emus and llamas. They went on go karts and played in the playground and even got some ice cream!🫏🐐🦙🐇🏎️🏁🍦😀

We travelled to The Faithful Fields today to take part in the first ever Cumann na mBunscol Gaelic Players Association, Intercounty Coaching Day.
The children enjoyed a coaching session with intercounty hurling & camogie players & afterwards had the opportunity to meet them & get photos & autographs 📸✍🏻

We were all delighted to see local ceramic artist Monica O'Meara visit us today to install our finished art piece! 5th & 6th class had been working on this project throughout this term & they were all excited and thrilled to see how the finished piece turned out!
Their art project, based around the theme of ‘Be Kind, Be Creative, Be Your Talented Self’, now sits proudly in the schools entrance hall, and will do so for many years to come!
Thanks to Monica for all her work with the children, and well done 5th & 6th Class👏🏻

More Community Games winners !! Congratulations to Lelia who won a bronze medal in the Shinrone/Coolderry Community Games handwriting section and Tadgh who went to the county final and won gold in the u10 art competition, Tadhg will now represent offaly in the national finals over the summer , well done everyone 🏅 🏅

As part of the Creative Clusters Programme, Mr Ryan’s 5th & 6th Class have been working on an Art Project with local ceramic artist Monica O'Meara. 🎨🖌️
The children have been very busy creating pieces from clay, based around the theme ‘Be Kind, Be Creative, Be Your Talented Self’😁
The finished piece will be put on display in the schools entrance hall & will be unveiled in the coming weeks…

Today our fantastic Students Council held a very successful Bake Sale in the school. Well done to the children in 5th & 6th Class who provided the delicious home-made treats & who organised the school hall for the sale🍰🧁🥮🎂🍞
Thanks to all the children throughout the school who contributed, a huge total of €471 was raised👏🏻 This money will be used by the Students Council for the benefit of each child in the school🙌🏻
