The Great Fundraiser for Marymount

On 27th February, Christine and I, on behalf of the fantastic committee of the Great Fundraiser for Marymount and all those who contributed to the fundraising efforts, presented a cheque for 157,574.56 euro to Gina Ronan, Marymount University Hospice and Hospital. The presentation, which took place in Ryan's Bar, Cobh, marked the culmination of a series of fundraising events, which commenced in March 2025. One year and one week after Cor's passing, we were honoured to make the presentation to Gina, who is one of our own. I cannot adequately express our gratitude to our fantastic community here in Cobh and on the Great Island. Without your support we could never have raised so much for Marymount. We know from our own experience how much good will be done by the Marymount team with the money raised. The committee and Cor's family and friends are so proud to be part of a such a wonderful community. Thank you so much.

We have been meaning to share this wonderful video of The Great Fundraiser for Marymount Parade in June, filmed and edited by Vitaliy! It was such a wonderful day for the Community of Cobh and little did we know then how much we would exceed our fundraising target by!

📣📣📣 EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣📣📣

We are absolutely delighted to announce the GRAND TOTAL RAISED (as of 6pm yesterday) collectively across all the different Fundraising activities for Marymount, including the sponsored walk in June, is a staggering
€154, 892 (and counting)

There are still donations coming in! Including a skydive which you can still donate to!

Our initial goal was €20,000 which we have surpassed by a mile!
We want to thank every single individual, family, club, business and community group that contributed to raised this amazing sum of money. It truly waMarymount University Hospice
We are so proud of our town and community! We know that so many people have been impacted by the wonderful care and support that Marymount University Hospice provide to so many families, friends and loved ones.

Sponsorship cards and cash for the Great Walk for Marymount are still coming in and with people being on holidays we do expect some more to be handed in over the next couple of weeks. We cannot believe the generosity of people in our community. We will post again as soon as we have an amount to share. Thank you to everyone who has supported the fundraiser to date.
