Blessington History Society Talk

Date: Thursday 21st May

Venue: Coimin Centre

Time: 7:30 pm

The history talk this month is on the works of our famous Stain Glass window artist, Harry Clarke.

The talk will be delivered by Dr. Angela Griffith Assistant Professor of the History of Art in Trinity College, Dublin. Dr. Griffith has a number of publications to her name and is involved, on ongoing basis, in the research of the History of Art.

One of her areas of expertise is in the history of the printed image. For her talk she will focus on the illustrative images contained in the stain glass windows of Harry Clarke. This talk will include the stain glass windows in Valleymount Church.

Dr. Griffith lives in Blessington, and the society are delighted she has agreed to give this talk.

Non members of the society will be charged €5.
