A massive shout out to James Hurton who did the stone wall at the entrance and also to Donal Dunne, Pat Cummins and Martin McNamara for the amazing paving work! 👏The car park is looking well and definitely ready to open, with the solar light at the back area.

Car park is looking great in Newtown! 🎉Thanks to Donal Dunne for keeping the pressure on John O Leary for the markings with 6 disabled spaces. The stone wall will be completed in the new year and the solar light at the back of the car park is lighting the area well. Thanks to Brenda Cummins for the grant application for it.
Plenty more to be done but great to see it opened on Christmas Day. 😊

Newtown Tidy Towns would like to acknowledge the grants received from The Department of Rural and
Community Development over the past 3 years. This Department funds the Local Enhancement
Programme which provides financial support to community groups across Ireland. The programme is
administered by Waterford County Council. Newtown Tidy Towns has, to date, received €7,200.00 in
grant aid, from the LEC, for the development of the car park in Newtown.
