Truagh Spirit Truagh Spirit is the brand name of Truagh Development Association CLG, community organisation Our group is run by a Board of Directors and members.

Truagh Development Association (TDA) was originally formed in 1985. It is a not for profit company limited by guarantee and was incorporated in 1991. It was set up to implement activities which would benefit the community and environs of the wider Truagh, Blackwater Valley and Sliabh Beagh area.

Heritage Week Event
All friends and neighbours are warmly invited to a Heritage Week Event in St Muadain's Church, Errigal Truagh on Wednesday 19th August 2026 at 8pm
Mrs Ethne McCord will conclude her journey round the parish recording the homesteads of the Church of Ireland families who once attended Errigal Shanco and Errigal Truagh churches.
Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
(This event has been supported by Monaghan County Council Heritage Department)

Emyvale Community Summer Party at the Mill Race Green with live music and refreshments.
(Indoors at the Leisure Centre if the weather is wet)

Leah's granny, Marie Murphy, has supported the work of Truagh Spirit for many years and we were delighted to meet up this morning to wish Leah the very best of luck in Tralee later this month at the Rose of Tralee International Festival.
