Hi to all our tree and fresh air lovers…. These photos are of our native Elm tree, the Wych Elm. It is the first native Irish tree to put up its seed and we are asking people to watch out for them and let us know where in the country they are located. The elm seeds are coming ripe in the next couple of weeks, turning from a light limy green to a brown colour. We would like to collect as much seed as possible to help this fantastic tree variety which has been obliterated by Dutch Elm Disease. Please comment and share, I will add a link to a short video in the comments for how to sow elm seed
