Today, with a heavy heart, we say our final goodbye to Hugh O’Neill, one of our long standing members of Eyeries Tidy Towns. Hugh was one of the most dedicated, hard-working and passionate people, who cared so much for everything to do with Eyeries as a village and as a community. He took immense pride in the village and encouraged everyone to be involved and take part. He was a perfectionist and did not put up with anything less than our best efforts. As a result we have a lot to thank him for with our success in the Tidy Towns Competitions over the years. He was, in no uncertain terms, the heart of the village and Eyeries and our wider community will just not be same without him. Rest in peace Hugh 💚
