JOB DESCRIPTION
Job: Child in Care Driver (Relief Staff)
Location: Cork City and County
Base: Ballincollig FRC
Contract Hours: Relief Panel
Reporting to: Centre Manager Ballincollig FRC
Overall, Purpose of the Post:
The role of the Driver is to transport children in care to and from services, access, Therapy etc and other transport needs as they arise.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be available on a flexible basis
• Driving children in care to and from access, appointments or to placement
• Ensuring child’s safety and wellbeing while in transit
• Follow all protocols for this position
• Maintaining service records in compliance with company policy.
• Ability and willingness to be flexible in approach to work and be responsive to service needs.
• Any other duties as requested by the Manager, or delegated manager.
• Maintain GDPR and confidentially while carrying out the duties of this job and working with others.
Other Requirements:
• Flexibility is needed as this role may include evening and weekend work.
• Clean driver’s licence and letter of indemnification is required by the company.
• The position is subject to the completion of a satisfactory Garda Vetting process and reference checks.
Terms & Conditions:
This post is funding dependant.
Probation: A probationary period of 6 months applies, wherein three probationary meetings will take place to review your performance and suitability for appointment. The probationary period may be extended or terminated for any reason at the discretion of Ballincollig FRC.
Annual leave: Annual leave entitlement is 20 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.
Ballincollig FRC operates a pension scheme and HSF Health Plan for which all employees may avail of.
