Are you looking for a fun family activity to do on November 1st? The New Stage Youth Theatre Group has it covered!

Following on from our work with Creative Communities, we are proud to present “Little Red Riding Hood” — the puppet show. Through many forms of puppetry and live actors, we will share a new version of Little Red Riding Hood.

Meet the characters and make your own stick puppets! This show has been created by our young theatre members.

Your support is much appreciated.
There is a voluntary contribution of €10, which goes towards the youth theatre and supports our young people in their artistic development.

Our project has come to a close after five weeks exploring creativity and storytelling through puppets and shadow puppets. We are greatful for the Creative Community Grant Support - Thirty young people were part of this project, and it allowed them to create a space where everyone was involved. They learned new skills in creative collaboration and problem-solving, and they also created a space where they came together to share stories, laughs, and form many new friendships.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Carmel Balfe, the puppeteer facilitator, who supported our young people in their creative development.

Shadows, stories & creativity

This is just the beginning of our work with Carmel Balfe as we explore the magic of shadow puppetry and give space for our young people to be creative and tell their own stories.

We had a truly lovely evening filled with imagination, teamwork, and plenty of fun as part of the Creative Communities initiative.

A huge thank you to our wonderful facilitator Mary Ellen Doran, whose support and guidance made the evening possible.
