🌍 What is SICAP and how can it help? 🤝

The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) is an Irish Government initiative that supports people and communities who may be experiencing disadvantage, poverty, or social exclusion.

💡 In plain English, that means
SICAP is a local programme that offers a helping hand to people who may find it hard to access everyday services on their own — including people who are long-term unemployed, people with disabilities, refugees, and members of the Traveller and Roma communities.

✨ What does SICAP do?

👤 Supports individuals

Help with CVs and job applications
Training and education opportunities
Improving digital and life skills
Personal development and confidence building

🏘️ Supports communities
Works with local groups and social enterprises
Strengthens community networks
Helps build inclusive, empowered, and sustainable communities

🔑 Key features of SICAP
✅ Targeted support for those most disadvantaged
📍 Locally managed and tailored to community needs
🔒 Free and confidential services
🤝 Co-funded by the Irish Government and the EU (ESF+)

💬 SICAP is about opportunity, inclusion, and community — supporting people to reach their potential and helping communities thrive.
