For the month of September, we are promoting Shine's Green Ribbon campaign - this campaign aims to reduce the stigma attached to mental health, and to encourage open conversations about our own mental health. Reminder of SECAD's Employment Support session in Youghal on Wednesday 16th September.
The session will begin with a presentation, followed by an opportunity to meet a member of the employment team for a one-to-one consultation (to work on CV’s, cover letters, courses, training, etc.).

The title for the September workshop series is: ‘Stand Out and Get Hired: Ace Your Next Interview’. The workshop will cover:

Common interview questions and how to answer them
The STAR method for answering competency-based questions
Handling difficult questions with confidence
Online and face-to-face interview techniques
Questions you should ask the interviewer
Interview follow-up and professional etiquette
Our clients have the opportunity to register for upcoming courses, such as Manual Handling, Safe Pass, HACCP, Retail Skills and more.

We're delighted to support Miss Teen Munster's Christmas Toy Appeal, collecting new and unwrapped toys for children in Temple Street Children's Hospital.
From September 7th, there will be a drop-off point in CnD Café, where you can leave your donations. The Cafe is open 9am - 2.30pm Tuesday - Thursday, and 9am - 12.30pm on Fridays.

Our Spring Chickens Club starts back for the autumn next Monday, 7th September, with a full programme of activities. We're looking forward to seeing you all again!
If you'd like to join, there's no need to book - just come along and we'll do a simple registration on the day, New members are always welcome and we look forward to making more new friends over the coming months.

Youghal Men's Shed are inviting men of all ages to come along to their Open Day on Thursday 10th September from 10am - 12.30pm. The Men's Shed is a safe space for men to get together, work on craft and restoration projects, do some gardening - or just relax and enjoy the company over a cup of tea. Come down on Thursday and see their well-equipped space - behind Nagle House - and see if the Shed is for you!
