Great Night's Entertainment at Lions Club Table Quiz
Jackie O'Briens / The Tavern was host to the Lions Club Fundraising Table Quiz last Friday night.
There was a very good turnout and competition was keen for the top three spots.
The Lions Club are grateful to all those who generously sponsored our prizes on the night.
The top Raffle Prize was a Hamper donated by Horgan's Delicatessen.
John Weir and Nigel Griffin were Quiz masters for the night and the questions varied from politics to sport to pop music.
A big thank you to Declan and Shauna for helping us with the Audiovisuals and to the Tavern for providing food for all.
Dan Furey, President of Mitchelstown Lions Club spoke on the night and expressed his gratitude to all those who continue to support The Lions Club with their work in the community.

Mitchelstown Lions Club are delighted to share that Childhood Cancer Ireland has been shortlisted for the PTSB Community Partner 2026.
The six winning charities will be selected by public vote from now until 22nd February.
We would greatly appreciate any support you might be able to give in helping us to spread the word in asking people to vote!

First Responder Caroline Sheehan accepting a cheque from President Dan Furey. The monies would go towards replacing essential equipment such as defibrillators, training supplies and replenishing responder kits. The funding was much appreciated as the Mitchelstown Responders have had over 100 call-outs in the last 12 months.

The Mitchelstown Lions Club were delighted to accept a cheque from the pupils of Coláiste Fionnchua Mitchelstown where the 3rd Year Religion Class organised a walk to raise money for us. In addition to this the Transition Year Pupils donated a large box of hygiene products, selection boxes and games.
