A little throwback to last weekend, when we bid a final farewell to The Weir, with a little knees-up in Claremorris. πŸ₯°

We had an incredible run on the circuit, finishing 2nd overall in the All-Ireland Confined Amateur Drama Council of Ireland Drama League of Ireland Finals. But most of all, we had so much fun along the way. 🎭

Here’s to many more wonderful adventures! πŸ™Œ

If you’re already missing your nightly fix of drama, get yourself along to Claremorris Town Hall Theatre and Concert Hall this Thursday night, May 8th, for the Mayo premiere of β€˜Where The Old Man Lives’. πŸŽ₯🎞️

Inspired by true events β€” including the well-documented Padraic Nally story in Cross – the film (together with two others) will be screened in the Studio at Claremorris Town Hall, starting at 8pm. It will be followed by a Q&A session with writer and producer, RuaidhrΓ Hallinan.

β€œAn award-winning short film, written and produced by two South Mayo men, will enjoy its Mayo premiere in Claremorris on Thursday, May 8th.”

We’re just about getting our voices back after a fabulous night of celebrations and craic at the McWilliam Park Hotel on Sunday night. ☺️

Claremorris Drama And Fringe Festival knocked it out of the park for this year’s All-Ireland Confined Drama Awards. A wonderful night of great food, excitement and entertainment, and an immensely professional set up on the night. Well done to all involved. πŸ‘πŸ€©

We were absolutely thrilled to finish 2nd overall in the Amateur Drama Council of Ireland Drama League of Ireland Awards, and of course to pick up Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor Awards. πŸ†

Huge congratulations, once again, to St. Patrick's Drama Group from Westport who were crowned All-Ireland Champions, and to Glenamaddy Players too, who finished 3rd in the competition. What a wonderful achievement for the West! πŸ™Œ

We are absolutely over the moon to announce that we finished SECOND overall in the All-Ireland Amateur Drama Council of Ireland Drama League of Ireland Confined Finals last night. πŸ₯ˆπŸ€©πŸ†πŸ₯³

And there’s more. Our brilliant Tim Oates was named BEST ACTOR in the competition, while Ollie Turner took the BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR accolade. πŸ†πŸ†

Delighted, too, to see Aishling Costello nominated for the Best Supporting Actress award. 🀩 And a lovely touch to see our amazing director Alan Heneghan recognised on the night. πŸ…

Huge congratulations to St. Patrick's Drama Group from Westport who were crowned All-Ireland champions at the gala awards night in the McWilliam Park Hotel last night. πŸ†πŸ€—

Well done to Claremorris Drama And Fringe Festival for a fantastic All-Ireland festival, and to the genial Anna Walker who had the difficult task of adjudicating. πŸ€—

Safe to say the celebrations continued into the early hours of this morning, but we had such a fabulous night. πŸ₯°

What an incredible welcome we received in Claremorris yesterday, and again last night. 🫢 From the moment we arrived on Saturday morning until the last of us left (in the early hours of this morning), everything was absolutely superb. πŸ‘Œ

We were so well looked after by the whole team at Claremorris Drama And Fringe Festival, and indeed at Claremorris Town Hall Theatre and Concert Hall. And what a warm welcome and reception from our audience too. It was the perfect end to our Amateur Drama Council of Ireland Drama League of Ireland journey. πŸŽπŸ€—

Thank you so much to everyone who played a part along the way, and a special word of thanks to all of you who reached out over the last few days to wish us well. Your support and friendship is very much appreciated by us all. πŸ₯°

Best of luck to all remaining groups who will give it their all in the coming days. See you in the McWilliam Park Hotel next Sunday night! πŸ€©πŸ†
