Yesterday was a very special day for Community Cancer Caregivers, as we had the opportunity to give our presentation for the Pride of Place Awards and tell the story of who we are, what we do, and most importantly, why we began. 💜

And then today arrived.

Today marks seven years since we lost Suzanne.

I don’t know if the timing is a sign, but it certainly feels like one. Yesterday, we stood proudly talking about everything that Community Cancer Caregivers has become a community of people simply looking after one another at a time when families need it most.

And all of it started with you, Suzanne.

We set up Community Cancer Caregivers in your honour, and six years later your name, your story and your memory are still at the heart of everything we do.

We speak about you every day. Every family we help, every meal delivered, every bit of practical support given and every person who gives their time to help another family carries a little piece of what you inspired.

I hope you could see us yesterday. I hope we did you proud.

You will always be our reason why, and our guardian angel. 💜

Seven years gone, but never forgotten.
Always loved. Always remembered. 🤍

Ever wondered what happens inside a cancer research lab? This Thursday, Maynooth University is opening its doors to the public for a really special Cancer Research Showcase in partnership with Breakthrough Cancer Research.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to see first-hand the incredible work happening right here in Maynooth that could help shape the future of cancer treatment and research.
