It’s hard to believe it’s been a week since Robert Emmet's Community Camp, and what three days it was.

As a member of Castlefin Autism Friendly Town, I just want to say a huge thank you and congratulations to everyone involved. The camp was so well organised, welcoming and, most importantly, truly inclusive.

One of the highlights was the Chill Room, which was an incredible success. It provided a calm, supportive space for children who needed it, showing that every child mattered and had a place to feel comfortable and enjoy the camp.

What really stood out to me was watching the children themselves. Seeing them patiently making sure everyone was included, giving others the time they needed, encouraging them, and making sure everyone got their turn was something really special. It was a wonderful reminder of what true inclusion looks like.

To everyone who organised, volunteered and supported the camp – you should all be immensely proud. You created an environment where every child felt welcome, valued and included.

Congratulations on a truly outstanding community camp. It was a huge success, and we can’t wait to see it continue to grow in the years ahead. 💙

It was a pleasure to attend the planning meeting for the Robert Emmet’s Community Camp. The amount of thought, enthusiasm and hard work going into this year’s camp is fantastic to see.

A huge well done to Daniel on delivering an excellent presentation, outlining the exciting plans and activities ahead. It’s clear that this is going to be a community camp with something for everyone, ensuring all children and families feel welcome, included and able to enjoy the experience.

A special thank you also to all the volunteers and helpers working tirelessly behind the scenes. Your dedication, time and commitment are what make events like this possible, and your efforts are truly appreciated.

Wishing everyone involved every success – it’s shaping up to be a brilliant community camp!

💙 More good news!! 💙

We received notification
that Gleneely National School has successfully completed Year 1 of the Asiam.ie Autism Friendly Schools Programme. This programme is lead by Mrs Durning & is supported by staff, students and parents. We were delighted with the recognition given to the changes that we have made in our school, and also remarked that we were the only small rural fully mainstream school in attendance at our training day in Galway. Well done to all involved 👏👏.
