Two weekends ago on the Friday night, 3 Mayo Teams took to the oche for the u23 Connaught Cup in Sligo.

A brilliant idea to create this competition for an age group so often forgotten and a brilliant evenings Darts was enjoyed by all.

16 players represented us with 12 players getting their first ever taste of county darts.

All 3 teams competed brilliantly all evening and ended up in the Shield event Semi Finals. With Mayo A missing out on the Cup Semi Finals by 1 point after winning 3 out of 4 group games.

In the Shield Semi Finals. Mayo B overcame Roscommon B to reach the final while Mayo A bet Mayo C in the other Semi to set up an all Mayo Final.

A cracking final went all the way to the wire with Josh Reilly coming out in top in the deciding leg to win the title for the A team.

A huge well done to the A team on winning the Shield.
