Ballyheane Ballintubber Community First Responders Community based First Responder group aiming to save lives through training, guidance and teamwork. Trained in CPR and the use of an AED/defibrillator. Mayo.

Ballyheane Ballintubber Community First Responders are a group of volunteers who work alongside the National Ambulance Service to respond to an actual or potentially life threatening emergency such as cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke or choking. Our group was established in April 2023 to cover the areas of Ballyheane, Ballintubber, Errew, Killawalla & Carnacon in Co.

We can not thank people enough for their kind and generous support again this year. We are truly grateful for every cent. This money goes back into our CFR group. It will go towards medical equipment, further training and the overall running of our group. When we purchase new items in coming weeks we will post on our social page so people can see where their money was spent.

Full on training tonight with the group, even in the rain. You never know what type of call you are going to get. Here the patient was out doing manual work and got serious chest pain and then went into cardiac arrest.
