🎤 Meet Our Battle of the Bands MC – Anthony O’Dwyer! 🎤

We’re delighted to introduce Anthony O'Dwyer as MC for this year’s Battle of the Bands!

Based in Waterford City, Anthony is a multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer, producer, and music promoter with an impressive track record across the music industry. He has worked with acclaimed figures such as Larry Crane (Elliott Smith) and Jack Endino (Nirvana), and has toured extensively throughout Ireland and Germany with bands including The Cosmic Funk Band (CFB) and The Butterfly Graveyard.

Anthony’s musical accomplishments include CFB’s 2014 debut release, which was signed to K7 Records in Germany and Midnight Riot in the UK. Alongside his work in music, he holds a Ph.D. in Copyright Law and works as a copyright consultant, with clients including the O’Riada family, Kíla, Anapalindrome, and local songwriter Seamus McGrath.

He also lectures in Intellectual Property Law and Information Technology Law at SETU, combining deep industry experience with academic expertise.

We’re excited to have Anthony bringing his passion, knowledge, and energy to the stage as he hosts what promises to be a fantastic evening of live music and emerging talent. 🎶🔥
