The South Kerry Rural Men's group had a great start to the year, with a tour of the Kerry Centre of Excellence in Currans on Wednesday March 4th.
The group also visited Killarney House & Gardens earlier in the morning, it was great to see a big turn out & also a big fáilte to the new members joining the trips.
Special thanks to TFI Local Link Kerry for their help with the Transport & also a Thank you to all the staff in the Dromhall Hotel Killarney who looked after the group with the meal.

We are delighted to announce that we are bringing our Active Ageing Festival to South Kerry once again.👏

We are really looking forward to this event, where we have teamed up with Age Friendly Kerry and HealthyKerry to bring you a packed day of fun, activity and excitement!

-Keynote talk: Mr John Lonergan (former Governor of Mountjoy Prison and Wellbeing speaker)
-Welcome address by Mr Francis Brennan (Age friendly Kerry Ambassador)
- Activities: choice to try some light activities (indoors and outdoors) including: Activator Walking Poles, Go For Life Games and Line Dancing.

ℹ️- Information: get information and speak with some organisations and groups in South Kerry
- Socialising: Lots of opportunities to chat and catch up with others

Reminder that this meeting is been held this Thursday evening coming October 30th in the Annascaul Community Centre, @6.30pm.
if your living in the Annascaul, Inch & Keel areas, drop in and find out what's happening in your local areas for the winter months.

The South Kerry Rural Men's group recently received a plaque at the Kerry Community Awards, The award was for recognition of their outreach work and social gatherings to address Rural Isolation in South Kerry.
members of the group attended the function on the night in the Rose Hotel Tralee.
Chairman of the Group Kevin Griffin received the plaque on behalf of the group.

The Men's group had an outing recently in West Cork, the group visited Allihies Coppermine Museum, Dunboy Castle and the Beara Peninsula.
Thanks to Hartnett Buses for providing transport for the group.
