OUR YOUTH SERVICES ARE OPEN TONIGHT

We are also deeply concerned by the growing rise in racism, hate, and violence being directed towards minority communities across Northern Ireland. These actions do not represent the values of respect, inclusion, and community that so many people work hard every day to build and protect.

We remain committed to creating safe spaces where young people from all backgrounds can come together, build understanding, and develop positive relationships across communities.

We will continue to offer our services this evening and remain committed to educating and supporting our young people in the values of diversity, understanding, acceptance, and mutual respect. We believe education and positive engagement are key to challenging hatred and building stronger, safer communities for Young people.

We are increasingly concerned with many posters and calls for gatherings across Belfast tonight, some poster of which have advised young people to be ready to "fight and be arrested". Tensions are high tonight and alot of people are currently operating on fear which is understandable given recent events but we must remember there is no place in our society for hatred, division, or violence. Our communities are strongest when we treat one another with respect, dignity, and understanding, regardless of our backgrounds, beliefs, or differences.
At times of tension and uncertainty, we all have a responsibility to reject those who seek to sow fear and division and instead work towards unity, peace, and the safety of our communities.

We at Tullymore youth urge all parents and guardians to know where their children are tonight and who they are with. Young people can easily find themselves caught up in situations that place them at risk. A simple conversation, a phone call, or checking in can make all the difference in helping to keep them safe.

Let us choose responsibility over recklessness, unity over division, and respect over hatred.
