This woodland Stay & Play is a gentle space for neurodivergent children and their families to explore nature at their own pace.

Build dens. Create with clay and wool. Swing in a hammock. Hide away in a quiet space. Or simply be.

🌿 Bookings are now open for our Cruinniú na nÓg Woodland Stay & Play sessions for neurodivergent children 🌿

Join us in the woodland at Ballybay Wetlands for a calm, creative and low-pressure nature experience designed especially for neurodivergent children and their families.

This is not a busy or highly structured event — children are free to explore the woodland at their own pace through imaginative play, sensory experiences and open-ended creativity using natural materials like clay, wool, sticks and leaves.

The woodland offers space for:
🍃 sensory regulation
🍃 movement and freedom
🍃 quiet observation
🍃 imaginative play

To help support accessibility, sessions include:
✨ small group sizes (max 12 children)
✨ hammocks for regulation
✨ quiet hideaway spaces with camo nets
✨ visual supports and a social story shared in advance
✨ stay & play format with parents/carers remaining on site

This is an inclusive, welcoming environment where children can engage as much or as little as they wish.

Ideal for children who may feel overwhelmed in larger or busier events.
