What an incredible day at the Believe Balbriggan Expo! 💜✨

Our hearts are absolutely full (and safely checked!) after seeing the amazing turnout at the Flemington Community Centre. Together as a community, we took a massive step toward making Balbriggan a safer, healthier, and more connected place to live.

From the Aisha AED Initiative team, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by our stand and took part in all the activities.

❤️ To everyone who joined us for CPR Musical Bingo, thank you for finding the beat, singing along, and learning the rhythms that save lives.
⚡️ To everyone who bought a raffle ticket, your generosity directly funds the life-saving CPR and AED training we will be delivering to residents across Balbriggan.
🤝 And to the 70+ exhibitors and organisers who made this day possible - we are stronger together.

Let’s keep this momentum going! If you missed us at the expo but want to get involved, learn CPR, or support our upcoming training sessions, drop us a DM or get in touch at [email protected]

💜 Meet Rhieya Rahul – Research Officer 💜

Rhieya is a third-year medical student with a strong passion for women’s health, particularly in research. 📊🩺 As an Educational Officer in her student union, she’s deeply invested in community education and empowering others to get involved in meaningful change.

She joined the Aisha AED Initiative after identifying a critical gap in CPR education, particularly for women receiving life-saving care. Her work focuses on reducing stigma, improving training, and ensuring everyone is prepared to act. 🫀✨

💬 “I found a gap in knowledge with regard to women being less likely to receive CPR than men simply due to stigma surrounding their anatomy, and this urged me to get in touch with AAI.” 💜⚡

As we step into 2026, we’re taking a moment to reflect on 2025, a year of learning, growth, and community.
From training residents and building partnerships, to launching our strategy and strengthening how we work together, this year reminded us why community-led action matters.
Thank you to everyone who supported, and believed in the lifesaving work we do. We’re excited to carry on the work into the year ahead.
Happy New Year 💜

Aisha AED Initiative is proud to have been named a Finalist in the Community Group Category at the Balbriggan Town Awards this year. While we didn’t take home the award, being winners last year and finalists again in 2025 is a reminder of the impact, consistency, and importance of our work in empowering communities through AED awareness and lifesaving skills.

We’re delighted to celebrate three of our incredible committee who were recognised as Finalists for Community Person of the Year!
Anne Marie Brady
Aine O’Beirne
Aisha Alameen Betro

The dedication of our committee, along with the unwavering support of our entire community, is what keeps this initiative strong and thriving. 💜⚡️
