What a day for the lads from Ashbourne Tennis Club who travelled to Carlow this morning for the Spring League Finals 🎾☀️

For some of the team, this marked their fourth finals appearance — a brilliant achievement in itself and a testament to their consistency, commitment, and love for the game. While it wasn’t to be their day on this occasion, they battled hard and should be incredibly proud of their efforts. Congratulations to Mullingar on taking home the trophy 🏆

The Ashbourne lads may not be bringing the cup home this time, but another well-earned pendant is making its way back to the club, adding to a growing list of achievements for this fantastic group.

And what a perfect day for tennis — glorious sunshine, great company, and a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish. Well done, lads! 👏☀️🎾

🎾 Winter League – Week One Complete! 🎾

The Winter League got underway today and Ashbourne Tennis Club was full ofactivity. We have five teams competing this season, and all five were in action today.

Four teams played at home, giving us a full day of great tennis to watch, while our fifth team travelled to Ratoath for a competitive local fixture. There were some wins and some losses across the matches, and a special well done to the Ashbourne Men’s team, who took home an excellent 3–0 victory 👏

While the overall results didn’t fall our way, the standard and effort were strong across all teams. Most importantly, everyone was out on court, competing hard and enjoying what they love—great games of tennis and plenty to build on.

That’s week one done. We’ve a break next week before league action resumes the week after. Best of luck with training and practice in the meantime—let’s come back refreshed, focused, and ready to put our best foot forward. 💪🎾

What an incredible night! Our Raffle & Quiz Night was a fantastic success, and we couldn’t have done it without the generosity and community spirit of our wonderful local businesses and members. 🎄💛
