Massive thank you to everyone who supported the Harbour of Hope Walk this morning πŸŒ…

The walk went off brilliantly and then back to the centre afterwards for a well deserved breakfast buffet.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make such a beautiful spread β€” from cooking the sausages to making delicious breads, tarts, porridge and yogurt cups.

Special thanks to Cillian Bonner for joining us again this year with Endorfin Sauna.

We would also like to thank four members of the Bunmahon Coast Guard for helping to keep everyone safe on the walk.

Thanks to everyone's kind generosity we raised €1010.00 for Waterford City River Rescue and €204.00 for pieta house

Community spirit was truly shining this morning. πŸ’™

πŸ§ΆπŸ’› Knitters and Knatters also handed over 9 large knitted blankets to the Oak Ward in the University Hospital Waterford this week.
They are currently busy knitting some adorable bees 🐝 to donate to the BUMBLEance Children's Ambulance Service, helping bring comfort and smiles to children on their journeys πŸš‘πŸ’›
A huge thank you to everyone involved!

Joe Daly from Juniors and Juniors visited the Knitters and Knatters group at the Boatstrand Sea Safety Centre to collect 15 blankets lovingly made for children in University Hospital Waterford. In addition to the blankets for the children's ward there were two blankets knitted for two children who hold a special place in some of the knitter's hearts. One went to a little girl in Boston and the other to Olivia in Portlaoise.
Not all of our knitters could be present for the handover, as many contribute by knitting squares at home and handing them in. We are incredibly proud of the hard work put in by everyone involved, from our youngest knitter aged just 6 years old to our more mature ladies.
A huge thank you to all the ladies for their dedication and generosity.
