It was lovely to see familiar faces at Tae agus Plé last Sunday and welcome new cairde Gaeil too!
We’ll take a break this Sunday to watch the Limerick match. There will be no Tae agus Plé this Sunday (26th) See you all the week after👍 Míle buíochas.

Our under 12 girls hosted Knockainey on Monday night in their first ever challenge match. We had 30 girls tog out for Adare and practice their skills - tús maith, a bright start as we head into Go Games in the coming weeks.

We hope all of our u15 Féile team enjoyed today’s development activities and took a little something away that can help them in the future be it on or off the pitch.

🚨 NEW LGFA PLAYING RULES 🚨

The LGFA has approved 12 new rule enhancements to make the game faster, more attacking, and fairer. These will be trialled across all Adult and Minor grades in the 2026 Lidl National League and colleges competitions, with reviews built in during the early rounds.
🔥 KEY CHANGES:
• 3v3 Structure: Min. 3 players in opposition half & 4 in own half
• 2-Point Score: From outside the 40m arc
• Kickout Mark: Clean catch on/after 40m = mark (4m protection)
• Solo & Go: Quick free, no immediate tackle
• Tackling: Open-hand, ball-first contact allowed (even close to body)
• Contact Rules: Controlled physical contest permitted
• Persistent Fouling: 3 fouls = yellow card
• Dissent/Tactical Fouls: Frees advanced (up to 50m)
• 45m: Must go forward
• Square Ball: Entry allowed after final play
• Delaying Play: Penalised + free advanced

The LGFA will host in-person information events nationwide plus a live webinar session to explain the changes in detail.

Well done to the senior team on the performance against Mungret at the weekend. Despite being unlucky to lose 5-7 to 5-5 at the end, we showed big advances in our game. Onward!

Congratulations to Adare’s u13 team on their first competitive LGFA game. A busy, enjoyable encounter against Na Piarsaigh in Limerick city with some lovely interplay, scores and fierce defending. Looking forward to the upcoming games this season.
