This program has been designed to provide youth citizens and professionals the opportunity to meet and discuss about social-environment awereness, share ideas, enhance practical skills, foster relationships, and give assistance to members of the local community. GYSC 2015 is two weeks challenging and meaningful adventure that helps youth from around the world to develop their social-environment aw
areness through participation in a series of volunteer work and experiential learning opportunities. This program is an intensive educational cultural experience for youth, designed to enhance the social awareness and personal development of the participants. Participants will not only learn about social-cultural but also the nature, the history, agriculture, traditional living, cross-cultural understanding, as well as an opportunity to participate in eco-tour and visit tourist attractions in Makassar, Indonesia. Participants will experience the real of Indonesian culture and society in an traditional living setting through learning sessions and hands-on experience. GYSC 2015 offer participants a chance to engage with local communities on an intimate level. Stay over night in a homestay, learn to cook Makassar traditional food, participate in activities that demonstrate traditional livehoods and highlight the surrounding nature. In the evening and at weekends, there are activities that include cooking, art and craft, as well as day excursion to various local attractions. The camps also include weekend sport competitions between participants and the local people. Finally, we are pleased to invite youth citizens and professionals to take part in GYSC 2015 and we hope that every participants will enjoy GYSC 2015 and gain a lot of knowledge and expose themselves to Indonesian culture and lifestyle in Makassar and Biringbulu.
