Az elmúlt évben a Habitat HUB partnerként vehetett részt a Zalai Falvakért Egyesület "Esélyek, lehetőségek és európai perspektívák a zalai falvakban" elnevezésű programjában.

A program során rövid kisfilmek is készültek három tématerületen

- Zöld ügyek: fenntarthatóság és környezet;
- Közös(ségi) ügyek, együttműködések településen belül, települések között, nyilvánosság, helyi demokrácia;
- Esélyhátrányból vidéken, fogyatékosnak lenni vidéken témákban

HUN:
November 25-28 között lehetőségünk volt részt venni a Bukarestben megrendezett “Rural Youth Empowerment: Unlocking Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps 2.0” elnevezésű programban, amely a LEADER akciócsoportok és helyi vidékfejlesztéssel foglalkozó szervezetek számára mutatta meg az Erasmus és az ESC programokban rejlő vidékfejlesztési lehetőségeket.

A képzés során megismerhettünk a program céljaival, a projektek típusaival, a pályázás részletes menetével és a projekttervezéssel is. A résztvevők Törökországból, Romániából, Litvániából, Észtországból, Örményországból, Georgiából, Szlovéniából, Bulgáriából és Görögországból érkeztek. Rengeteg közös kapcsolódási pontot találtunk, és ígéretes projekt kezdeményezések is elindultak ebben az intenzív 4 napban.

Köszönjük a Tempus Közalapítványnak a lehetőséget, hogy részt vehettünk a képzésen. Valamint az Erasmus+RO-nak a csodálatos szervezést!

Between November 25 and 28, we had the opportunity to participate in the program entitled "Rural Youth Empowerment: Unlocking Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps 2.0" held in Bucharest, which presented the rural development opportunities offered by the Erasmus and ESC programs to LEADER action groups and local rural development organizations.

During the training, we learned about the program's objectives, the types of projects, the detailed application process, and project planning. Participants came from Turkey, Romania, Lithuania, Estonia, Armenia, Georgia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, and Greece. We found many common points of connection, and promising project initiatives were launched during these four intensive days.

We would like to thank the Tempus Public Foundation for the opportunity to participate in the training. And for Erasmus+RO for the organising this amazing event.

Július utolsó hétvégéjén izgalmas programnak adott otthont a Habitat HUB.

A Magház - Közösségi hálózat a mezőgazdasági sokféleségért magfogás képzése zajlott nálunk. A résztvevők a vetőmagok fogásának elméleti és gyakorlati ismereteit szerezhették meg Réthy Kati és Mészáros Zoli előadásában. Előbbi a Szezon Kert vezetője, a Magház elnöke, utóbbi pedig a Mezőföldön oldal kezelője, önellátó kiskertész, az egyesület támogató tagja.

Habitat HUB hosted an exciting programme on the last weekend of July.

Magház - Közösségi hálózat a mezőgazdasági sokféleségért held a seed saving training course at our premises. Participants gained theoretical and practical knowledge of seed saving from Kati Réthy and Zoli Mészáros. The former is the head of Szezon Kert and president of Magház, while the latter is the administrator of the Mezőföldön site, a self-sufficient small-scale gardener and a supporting member of the association.

The next day, the team visited Bacsuta, where Izabella Sántha shared stories about incredibly diverse garden.

The first six days of our camp went well, with a great atmosphere and excellent progress. The volunteers are now taking a four-day break. Here are some photos of our days together.

🍒It’s only been day 01, and our happy little helpers already planted the honeyberries into the food forest, composed the famous 18-day hot compost and cleaned out the attic before renovation.

The first international meeting of Habitat HUB took place last weekend in Transylvania.

During the professional study trip organised by Forum Synergies we had the opportunity to visit the După Gard Rural Experience HUB, which is an inspiring model for Habitat HUB in many ways.

Ioana and Andreas, together with their daughter Dalia, decided to move back to Ioana's ancestral village of Poșaga de Jos in Transylvania. In this beautiful natural setting, they dreamed of creating an educational and experiential centre, which they are continuously developing and improving in line with the principles of permaculture.

During the weekend meeting, we worked on developing the framework and regulations for rural experience hubs similar to theirs, which Forum Synergies staff will present at the European Rural Parliament meeting in October this year.

Thank you for the opportunity and the shared experiences! The cooperation will continue!

☀️Get ready for this year’s youth camp!

We’ll be getting our hands dirty with some fun gardening and woodwork, getting creative with upcycling projects, and wrapping up each day with a well-deserved tasty meal. 😊

🌱 Something fun is growing this summer in our quiet little village in Hungary, and we hope you’ll be part of it! 🤗

👀 From June 19th to July 9th, we’re inviting 15 young people (ages 18-30, from anywhere in the EU) to join us in Kerkakutas for three weeks of learning and practicing permaculture and reconnecting with nature at Habitat HUB.

🌿During this volunteering event, besides the hands-on tasks, you’ll learn some theory as well, and discover what it means to live simply and intentionally. We’ll be exploring permaculture, sustainability, and community living, all while surrounded by forests, gardens, and the kind of peaceful countryside that lets you breathe deeper.

🌈You’ll learn how to grow food with care, how to build with your hands with up-cycled materials, and how to live lightly on the earth. Apart from this, you’ll meet people who care about the same things, and you’ll contribute to developing this eco-hub by sharing and learning new skills.

🤠There will be mud on your shoes, veggies in your belly, loads of laughs, and stars overhead at night. You’ll cook together, work together, and chill together. And when you leave, hopefully you’ll carry a little piece of this place with you.
