Improve Your ArtAbility - Erasmus+ ifjúsági csere Bantban, Hollandiában 🇳🇱
Lentebb olvashatjátok a magyar résztvevők angol nyelven írt gondolatait a projekttel kapcsolatban.
Hálásak vagyunk a szervezőknek, partnereknek és minden résztvevőnek ezért az inspiráló és kreatív nemzetközi élményért. ✨

Improve Your ArtAbility - Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Bant, the Netherlands 🇳🇱
From 20 February - 2 March, young people from 7 different European countries came together in Bant, the Netherlands, to take part in the Improve Your ArtAbility Erasmus+ Youth Exchange. The project focused on art, inclusion, creativity, and self-expression, giving participants the opportunity to explore how artistic methods can support personal development, social inclusion, and intercultural understanding.
Throughout the programme, participants took part in creative workshops, team activities, intercultural learning sessions, and non-formal education methods that help them develop new skills, express themselves through art, and collaborate in an international environment. 🎨🌍
The youth exchange also created space for learning from each other, sharing experiences, and building meaningful international connections while working on artistic and inclusive approaches in youth work and community engagement.
Below you can read the reflections of the Hungarian participants about their experiences in the project:
Evi:
Setting foot for the second time in the Netherlands, in Bant, a village in the middle of nowhere. The perfect location for creating a wonderful “Erasmus+ bubble” as I call it, and getting absorbed by it for 10 days straight. Getting to know 50 people with 50 different stories and backgrounds in such a short period of time is something that’s difficult to imagine if you’ve never been on a youth exchange before. I was there, and believe me, it’s real! No matter where you came from, your skin color, your level of English, if you have disabilities or not, the goal was the same: broadening our horizons and creating life-long memories through art.
Zsófi:
This project gave me space to connect with myself and others without the outside pressures of society. It allowed us to be present, to do art and be ourselves, and embrace that. There are not so many places like this, but hopefully we will be able to create more.
Natalie:
It was a long, multifaceted journey. It wasn't easy for 50 people of different cultures, abilities and ages to learn to coexist pleasantly, so I really needed to exercise assertive communication and self-awareness. I came through frustration, helplessness and decisiveness to feelings of appreciation and connection, and brought home not only lovely souvenirs, notes and memories, but also a more mature, initiative and resilient personality.
Réka:
I am very grateful that I got the opportunity to take part in this youth exchange in The Nederlands. The venue was in the countryside, surrounded by nature. Being in this environment made me feel relaxed, more present in the moment and more connected with the nature and the people around me. Everyone was really open and friendly from the first moment.
I felt like I was never bored, I had so much fun talking with others, having fun together, going around and exploring the place. I met people from many countries and backgrounds, hearing about their life, about what they do, how they think about the word was very interesting. I felt like I was in another universe, and saying goodbye to my friends and the place was very hard.
Mesi:
This Erasmus was like an island of peace and joy for me. We played, we did art, we talked and listened. Everyone was so kind and inspiring. I loved my time there, it gave me such energy to keep going with my own life I can’t even put it to words. This experience will stay with me forever.
It was also so inclusive that I gained a new family… quite literally. :))
Lili:
This was one of the most defining weeks of my life. Not only did this opportunity provide a much-needed break from my hectic daily routine, but I also learned a lot from it.
As a psychology student, volunteering, community building, and working with young people already take up a significant part of my time. But here, the focus on inclusivity resonated so deeply with me that I want to become this kind of person as well who creates such a safe space for young people to better understand the world and themselves. Thank you for letting me be a part of this extraordinary experience.
We are grateful to the organisers, Rock Solid Foundation for International Youthwork, partners, and all participants for this inspiring learning experience and for creating a supportive and creative international environment. ✨
