Mi történik, ha egy disszociatív identitászavarral élő ember beszélgetni kezd a fejében lévő hangokkal?

We hope Verzió holds just as special a place in your heart as it does in ours. 💗 The wait is almost over, in less than two months, the 23rd Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival returns with the most burning issues and questions we're facing today.

What happens when a person living with dissociative identity disorder starts talking to the voices in their head?
Where do conspiracy theories lead in the hands of far-right wellness gurus?
How is Africa still grappling with the legacy of the colonial world today?

Films from all around the world will explore these and countless other important questions this year. 🌍 Save the date: 16–25 November, VERZIÓ!

Be the change: we invite documentary film enthusiasts aged 18-26 to apply for the Young Jury at this Verzió!
Deadline: October 4, midnight CET.

The 23rd Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival takes place from November 16–25, 2026, in Budapest, and online from November 26 to December 6.
🌳 The members of the Young Jury will watch the films selected for the Anthropocene Competition of the 23rd Verzió, discuss them with their fellow jury members, and choose the winner of the Shared Future Award.

Augusztus 2. – a roma holokauszt emléknapja

Ezen a napon a roma közösségeket ért üldöztetés és népirtás áldozataira emlékezünk. Fontos számunkra, hogy a roma történetek és emlékezet helyet kapjanak a jelenben is.
Ebből az alkalomból megosztjuk a Blinken OSA Archivum interjúját Jovánovics Györggyel, aki 1974-ben készített terveket egy roma holokauszt-emlékműhöz.

A roma történetek, alkotók és közösségek bemutatása fontos része a Verzió küldetésének. Örömmel jelentjük be, hogy az idei Verzió Nemzetközi Emberi Jogi Dokumentumfilm Fesztiválon roma filmes szekcióval készülünk, amelyben a roma alkotók nézőpontjai, személyes történetei és kortárs kérdései kerülnek fókuszba.
A dokumentumfilmek ereje abban rejlik, hogy közelebb hoznak egymáshoz tapasztalatokat, emlékezeteket és nézőpontokat. Idén novemberben is várunk mindenkit, hogy együtt gondolkodjunk ezekről a történetekről!

Are you passionate about documentary cinema? Do you write about film—or want to? Whether you're a film critic, journalist, writer, filmmaker, artist, or a student in one of these fields, this workshop is for you.

Join us at the 23rd Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival for five days of intensive writing, discussions, and mentorship. Work alongside fellow documentary enthusiasts from across Europe, receive valuable feedback from experienced professionals, and develop your critical voice in an inspiring international environment.

Selected participants will receive:

Vendégünk lesz két kiemelkedően tehetséges fiatal magyar rendező, Vermes Dorka és Márton Dorottya, akikkel Majercsik Jojó beszélget arról, mit jelent ma nőként filmet rendezni, körbejárva a reprezentáció, a testpolitika és a sebezhetőség filmes ábrázolásának kérdéseit.

We will have amazing guests, two up-and-coming film directors, Dorka Vermes and Dorottya Márton, who will talk with Johanna Majercsik, about what it's like to make films as a woman today, talk about representation, body politics, and vulnerability on moving pictures.
