The International Society for the Study of Behavioral Addictions (ISSBA) is offering travel grants for participants of the 11th International Conference on Behavioral Addictions (ICBA 2026).

The application deadline has been extended until 12 January 2026.

Travel grants are available to all applicants with a submitted conference abstract. Please note that preference will be given to applicants from lower- and middle-income countries, as well as students and early career researchers.

Early Career Researcher Award for the Study of Behavioral Addictions

Awarded in 2025: Andrew (Hyounsoo) Kim

A prolific new investigator, Dr. Andrew (Hyounsoo) Kim, has an advanced understanding of transdiagnostic factors in behavioral addictions and comorbid disorders and proposed a novel pragmatic treatment model. He has elucidated the clinical concept of addiction substitution through systematic review and clinical research studies and contributed methodologically by demonstrating how crowd-sourcing platforms can yield valid information in addictions research.
