No man is greater than his prayer life. A pastor who is not praying is merely playing, and the people who are not praying are straying. The pulpit can become a shop window for displaying one’s talents. When a person does not spend time in the presence of God, their works done in God's name lack power, and the lives of listeners will remain shallow and focused on worldly matters. We need to seek God and spend significant time in His presence to attain His power and glory. If a preacher or teacher of God’s word fails to be in God's presence, the pulpit will turn into a place of entertainment, where people merely watch and leave without any significant transformation in their lives.
