There are two seasons in Haiti: The rainy season and the dry season.

People in rural area live mainly on agriculture but the poor harvest cause the farmers to turn to the burning charcoal production to make ends meet, thereby sacrificing more trees. Traditionally, the farmers would work the land during the rainy season, reap their harvest and wait out the dry season until the rains come back. They live absolutely in poverty with no access to health care, safe drink

ing water and quality education. Based on this observation, Haiti Unlocked decides to identify the needs and resources to equip local leaders to find sustanable solution by implementing development projects with the participation of the community leaders.
